Colohatchee Nature Park
1975 NE 15th Avenue
This 9.3-acre recreational facility is
located on the South Fork of the Middle
River. The southern extent of the park
encompasses a mangrove preservation area
and features a boardwalk for nature
observation. There is a boat launch on
the eastern tip of the park with a
parking facility to accommodate
watercraft trailers. The park features a
host of other amenities including:

Hagen Park
2020 Wilton Drive
Hagen Park is the hub of recreational
activities in the City, housing the
administrative offices of the Parks and
Recreation Department. At present,
construction is underway on 6,200 s.f.
community center, multipurpose court,
resurfaced tennis courts, playground,
rental pavilion, sand volleyball court,
and open space. The park will also
include a renovated parking lot and
Veterans memorial.
Mickel Field
2675 NW 7th Avenue
Mickel Field serves as Wilton Manors’
premier athletic complex. The facility,
renovated in 1999, features lighted
baseball and basketball courts, a press
box, playground, and a building housing
a concession stand and restrooms.

Donn Eisele Park
701 NW 29th Street
This linear park is located on the North
Fork of the Middle River and has just
recently opened in the northwest section
of the City. As a neighborhood park, set
amidst lush landscaping, it includes
shade pavilions and a launch area for
canoes and kayaks.
Island City Park Preserve
823 NE 28th Street
The Island City Park Preserve, located
on the North Fork of the Middle River,
is slated to open this summer.
Recreational amenities will include a
community center, multi-purpose court,
canoe/kayak launch area, mangrove
preserve, covered pavilions, and a
boardwalk that offers picturesque vistas
of the Middle River. |
